DAVIE, FL – Ross Matz Investments, Inc., an entity affiliated with South Florida based Ross Realty Investments, Inc., has acquired a 7.9 acre site in Parkland, Florida for the development of the Parkland Village Square.
Parkland Village Square will be a mixed use, retail/office/residential project that will be comprised of 25,000 square feet of ground floor retail space, two freestanding restaurants totaling approximately 10,000 square feet, 10,000 square feet of office space, and 10 residential townhomes to be located above the retail space. The project will surround a village green area that will feature fountains, picnic areas, a bandshell, bike paths and other amenities to appeal to the surrounding Parkland communities. Construction is expected to commence in the fall of 2007, with a mid-2008 opening.
The project will be located in the heart of the City of Parkland, along Pine Island Road just north of Trails End Road and across from Parkland’s Pine Trails Park. It is conveniently located so as to provide an ideal “town center” environment for the surrounding upscale communities of Heron Bay, Parkland Golf and Country Club, Parkland Isles and the proposed Parkland Village residential project.
Parkland, located in the northwest corner of Broward County, Florida, is one of Florida’s most affluent cities with median incomes well into the six figure range. Commercial zoning in Parkland is extremely limited.
